Just finished dinner and, at 10:45 it is just getting dark.
Dropped into a different restaurant tonight and was invited to sit down with a gentleman from New York who was also eating alone. So, we were able to have conversations on various topics over dinner.
He just got into town., and is waiting for the rest of his hiking group to arrive. Unfortunately, he is also waiting for his luggage to arrive. It is somewhere else in the world.
Had Ceviche and my Congrio Eel (sorry about any previous misspelling - I believe Congrio is how it is spelled here).
The Ceviche was great - I'm a raw seafood kind of guy. The eel came battered and fried with a medium-heavy sauce with clams and squid rings and (?) as a garnish. To be honest, if you told me it was xyz fish I would not have been able to prove otherwise. It was most palatable, however. The eels are ugly when you see them hanging in the fishmonger's. So, next on the list is Guanaco.
To deal with some of your comments of late:
-I will never tell what I tossed. They were old and ratty, anyway. They deserved a decent burial.
-There is no prize for decoding the menu from yesterday, unless you want me to buy you some and bring it home a few weeks later. If you tell me what it is I might be inspired to go out and have some.
-To anonymous who wants to know which way the water swirls in the southern hemisphere - I'm going to tell everybody but you it goes ____________ (see - they know but you don't).
I have another fun food quiz for you later. Now its time for bed and early up to see the penguins.
